B-Stinger Stabilisers

April 17th, 2009

Well I’ve been shooting the revolutionary B-Stinger stabiliser now for nearly a year and have found it to be fantastic at minimising the effects of bad shots.

It stabilises the bow like nothing else I’ve seen for it’s length.  The heavy out front weight took some getting used to but I’ve worked up to the 17oz and am loving it.

B-Stinger Pro Series Stabiliser

I’ve been speaking with Blair, the man behind the B-Stinger for a few weeks now and have agreed to become a B-Stinger Staff Shooter.  This means that I believe in the product, will help promote it, I will get access to early versions of new products and provide feedback that will help in their development.

My B-Stinger XL and V-Bars have been ordered so I’ll have plenty of time to play with the setup and get it just right as I move in to the Unlimited class for GNAS/FITA indoor target shooting.

So not only am I switching to the B-Stinger XL I’m also switching to using a scope and release aid, lets hope I can get to the top flight quickly enough!

Watch out target shooters here I come.

I’ll be doing a full review of both the B-Stinger and B-Stinger XL over the coming months so why not subscribe to my RSS feed so you don’t miss it.

Archery Podcasts – A blast from the past

April 17th, 2009

Well I was just doing a quick search for some archery related podcasts to load on my iPhone and came across www.archerypodcasts.com

Not a great deal on there but I did come across this little gem

An interview with Harry Boyce and Terri Boyce all about field archery

The interview was done back in 2005 while both were still members of Castle Bowmen.  Of course Harry, Terri, Graham, Liz and a couple of others went on to form Nemisis Archery club not long after this was done.

Harry has moved on to new heights and is now in his second term of office as NFAS president, Terri is also the Supplies officer.  It’s good to know there are folks out there willing to put time in to the society to make life and the sport enjoyable for the rest of us.

I also found http://www.bowcast.com/ which has some interesting stuff on although on the whole it’s geared towards the North American Bowhunting fraternity.

Leave a comment (it’s easy and it’s free) if you know of anymore archery related podcasts or websites
